It's time for our annual ritual of absolution and control - otherwise known as the New Year's Resolution. If you're like most people, your resolution will be the same one you made last year. And again this year it'll last until Valentine's Day.
Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Bill George today called for more energy and activism by all in 2010 to come closer to fulfilling Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s vision of economic and social justice for all.
"Dr. King's vision included not only civil rights but also economic and social justice for all Americans – a vision that is far from fulfilled. We can step closer to reaching that goal by making jobs the top priority for Pennsylvania this year," Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Bill George declared. "We can make real progress in climbing out of this recession in 2010 if we stand together under the banner of Jobs Now!"
A doctor who left a baby boy with a 'very abnormal' penis after botching a circumcision was suspended for six months.
Anthonipillai Nicholas-Pillai was 'shivering and sweating' as he performed the operation on the four month old baby at his north London surgery.
The doctor then lied to cover up his blunder, the General Medical Council found.
A Fitness to Practise Panel heard a 22-week old Muslim boy was left with "two tone" genitals as a result of the operation in April 2001 at the Bush Hill Park Medical Centre in Enfield, Middlesex.

The Viacom-owned Black Entertainment Television (BET) network has launched BET in the United Kingdom. The announcement was made on Thursday in Leicester Square, London.
