Acting role for Ashley Cole
Footballer Ashley Cole is taking his eye off the ball… so he can star in a movie.
After seeing that his ex-wife Cheryl scored a role alongside J-Lo and Cameron Diaz in Hollywood, it looks like Ashley”s trying to get in on this acting thing.
Director Noel Clarke has asked him to cameo in a new documentary-drama called Played, which will star Danny Dyer as a football agent.
A source explained the plot and Ashley”s role to The Sun: “The plot follows a football agent and how he goes about his business while living the Premier League lifestyle.
“It features a few dodgy scenarios including underhand transfers and sleeping around with different women.
“They want it to be as authentic as possible, so that”s why they were keen to include player and manager cameos.
“The script is done and auditions have already started. It will be set all over London with some scenes taking place at stadiums and football grounds.”
The former Ashley Cole is reportedly financially backing the new documentary drama, called Played, which is expected to co-star a range of Hollyoaks actresses.
