Double shooting in Wembley after barbeque
Officers investigating a double shooting in Wembley in the aftermath of a large party have appealed for witnesses.
A man and a woman were shot at around 4am on Monday after a private barbecue at a house in Blenheim Gardens.
Detective Inspector Michael Millar, of Operation Trident, said: "We believe that during the evening more than 200 people attended the address.
"We are very keen to speak to anyone who attended the party as they may have vital evidence as to what transpired in the early hours of Monday morning which left two people with gun shot wounds."
Officers were called to the house where they found a woman in her 30s with a single gun shot wound.
A man in his twenties turned up at a west London hospital soon afterwards, also suffering from a gun shot wound. He went into surgery Monday morning, and is now in a stable condition.
It is believed both victims were shot in Blenheim Gardens in the aftermath of the mass party.
