Relatives and other hangers-on fight of the late singer, James Brown, are still fighting over his £50 million legacy nearly two years after his death.

Yasus Afaru is one of Jamaica’s leading Dub Poets with many talents and interests. He is an “edutainer”, bringing his background as a recording reggae artiste together with his work as a dub poet. His recent UK tours involved working in schools, colleges and universities supporting understanding about Black History, while exploring ways to live and work together in our plural societies with a focus on self esteem. Yasus offers a range of options, from lecture performances, evening or daytime events for theatres and other venues and after dinner speaking, to workshops for adults and young people. All programmes are tailored to meet local needs.

The Grammy Award winning artist brings her fusion of R&B, jazz, soul and poetry to Brixton on 18 July. Kill Scott will appear at the Carling Academy Brixton, 211 Stockwell Road, LONDON, London and South East SW9 9SL.
