Supermodel Naomi Campbell recently checked into a Brazilian hospital for emergency surgery to have a small cyst removed. The 37-year-old model is said to have flown into Sao Paolo especially for the laparoscopy (pinhole surgery) on her stomach and is said to be "resting and recovering well,"
In a statement, the hospital said: "Naomi Campbell entered the Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo last Sunday and is under the care of a team of doctors led by David Uip and Jose Aristodeme Pinotti.
"Due to a decision by the patient and her assistants, the medical teams will neither formally or informally talk about her progress."
Campbell, a regular visitor in Brazil is said to be looking forward to going back to work.
